Peer review #1
- Welcome back to my blog again guys! Today we will be discussing my experience with peer review and the relations to feedback and my feelings on the blog posts.
- With peer reviewing, it was a great experience to get as a fellow blogger. The experience was very insightful and motivating as not only about the topic they were writing about but more so the personal level of engagement. What I mean by personal engagement is the writer is using there own level of experience with "The impact of Digital media" and "Digital media" in which I feel I have a better understanding to a certain extent of going through these two blog posts, giving me other perspectives on the topic in which I needed to hear so to speak. Its great getting other peoples thoughts on the matter as it shows me ways to comprehend material more by having outsiders thoughts in my head. There was certain technique I took away from peer review like the layout usage and having a "reference list" sourcing all information at the end to guide who might be reading looking for where the information was coming from. The blog "the impact of Digital Media" looked more easier to navigate with having the reference list at the end to not confuse the reader.
- Learning feedback from "Try feedforward instead of feedback", "Be a mirror", "Is a fixed mindset holding you back?" and "Seven ways to crush self-doubt in creative work" was very interesting to read. This gave me a glimpse to "reflect without judgement" and use ways to free myself from a fixed mindset. The perspective of these articles have changed how I view of a reader and the process of work involved to set feedback to someone. There's also the other side in which contradicts giving feedback which is receiving feedback. The humanity of receiving feedback is crucial from my point as it allows me to not be so hard on myself and to abandon perfectionism, treat this like an experiment without comparing to others. Feedback is very necessary as it helps progress structure building to then be able to use mistakes as a way to increase the quality of work.
- Thank you for reading this blog on peer review, and as always its been a pleasure to write this, Jason.
