Final rewrite

Its also a way to connect to one and another from all over the globe without leaving our homes.
From watching the videos (Digital Media are networked Digital Literacy), (Digital literacy and why it matters) and (The essential elements of digital literacies: Doug Belshaw) is that it didn't necessary change in my view.
The way we interpret Digital Literacy is very unique from the way we interpret outside out of it.
The communication aspect has always been the same for me as different platforms share the same fluidity with accessing information.
The way I view it Digital Literacy is still the same from the past as I have the knowledge of communicating via the web.
The sort of tools you would need for a digital practitioner would to be able to transmit and engage with writing and editing to provide news the the public like a journalist.
The ways things changed was how we use it today.
An example would be how digital practitioners skills changed in ways like create, communicate information and being cognitive.
Using social media to embed information to implement things like "memes" to spread a message with a cult following behind it. "Memes" can be used with intent like propaganda. "Using it on both sides of the argument"- Ted talk.
These tools can develop into using important issues for humour but using creative tools to exchange meaning of something.
The difference between social media and traditional media is that social media reaches more individuals then traditional media in which is based on targeted audience.
There's more ways that social media benefits more from traditional media as it offers the two way system, communication.
This provides a mix of both maximising audience and target through networks like Facebook, Instagram etc. Social media has websites that people can share and create to mass audience in which will impact more than traditional media.
With social media it relies on the internet and with that comes with control and and changes that once online, you can edit everything unlike traditional media.
The surprising elements of these videos is that how they use culture to underline what digital literacy is.
For example in the ted talk with Doug Belshaw, he gravitates to using "memes" as a way of how digital literacy is transmitted.
It really put it in perspective for me of how using "memes" can define digital literacy.
Thank you for reading this piece and as always its been a pleasure to write this. - Jason
